Nalbari records 98 COVID-19 cases in 72 hours

GUWAHATI: COVID-19 cases in Nalbari district in lower Assam have been rising rapidly. According to reports, 98 persons have been found positive for COVID-19 in the last 72 years in the district. Reportedly, most of these cases are without travel history.

Four doctors and three health workers of Swahid Mukunda Kakati Civil Hospital at Nalbari have also been found positive for COVID-19. Following that, the district administration has ordered the closure of the hospital for three days from Monday. Only emergency services have been allowed to operate.

So far, Assam has reported 25092 COVID-19 cases. There are 7936 active cases in the state with 17095 recoveries and 58 deaths.
