Kohima: Nagaland”s single-day recovery exceeded the number of new infections on Monday as 49 patients recovered from the disease, while 11 coronavirus positive cases were detected in the state, a health bulletin said.
Of the 49 people who recovered in past 24 hours, 45 were in Kohima and two each in Dimapur and Mon districts, Additional Director of Health and Family Welfare Dr Denis Hangsing said in the COVID-19 bulletin.
The recovery rate in the state, which had risen to 87.82 per cent on September 8, is now 82.2 per cent, the bulletin said.
Altogether 11 new positive cases of COVID-19 were confirmed out of 327 results received on Monday, it said.
With one person succumbing to the disease in the state capital during the day, the death toll has increased to 17, he said.
Of the state”s COVID-19 caseload of 5,957, 1,002 are active cases, 4,897 have recovered and 41 have migrated to other states, it said.
A total of 78,280 samples have been tested for COVID- 19 in the state so far. PTI
