GUWAHATI: Rich tributes were paid to former Assam CM Tarun Gogoi at Ugratara Devalaya and Burha Jame Masjid where his mortal remains were brought on Thursday. Earlier, his mortal remains were taken to the church at Rukminigaon and Zoo Road Namghar.
As per his wishes the body of Gogoi have been taken to different places of worship. Following that, the last rites of the senior Congress leader will be performed at Nabagraha crematorium.
Thousands from all walks of life have joined the funeral procession of Gogoi to pay their last respects to the beloved ex-chief minister.
