Two persons from Morigaon district tested COVID19 positive on Thursday. Both of them are reportedly secondary contacts of Nizamuddin Markaz attendees. So far, Assam has reported 34 COVID19 positive cases. Among them, one patient from southern Assam’s Hailakandi district passed away at Silchar Medical College on April 10. On the other hand, 5 patients—2 from Sonapur District Hospital and 3 from Goalpara Civil Hospital have been discharged on Wednesday and Thursday respectively.
