GUWAHATI: The deputy commissioner (DC) and superintendent of police (SP) of middle Assam’s Morigaon district tested COVID19 negative. Their test samples were collected after it had come to light that the top officials came into contact with one of the COVID19 patients from Morigaon who tested positive on Thursday.
Taking to Twitter, health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma announced, “Happy to inform that DC/SP of Marigaon District have tested negative. It is a big relief for Team Marigaon and for us.”

Earlier on Friday, Dr. Sarma also stated that the contact history of Morigaon DC and SP with the COVID19 patient was 14-day old.
