Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma today inaugurated a Vaccination Centre at ISBT, Betkuchi for vaccination of the uncovered inter-district and inter-state passengers.
In the program, Chief Minister also ceremonially launched the Mobile Vaccination Van service by flagging off the journey of 15 such vehicles to 6 different districts of Assam.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister praised the dedicated efforts of the employees of the health department including ANM nurses and other vaccination workers for making the vaccination drive successful.
He asked the department to make this drive more intensified so that every eligible person of the State could get at least the first dose of Covid Vaccine within 30th October this year.
Health Minister Keshav Mahanta, Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Ashok Singhal, Chairman, ASTC Ashok Bhattarai along with senior officers of the health department were present in the occasion.
