In a shocking incident, a minor girl was allegedly gang-raped by three armed miscreants at Kolakota Mazhi village under Sapekhati in Assam’s Charaideo district in the wee hours of Thursday.
The three armed youths barged into the house of the victim around 2 am on Thursday, and identified them as ULFA (Independent) militants. They then forced the victim’s elder brother and his family and gang-raped the minor girl at gunpoint.
Meanwhile, amid the sensational incident, ULFA chief Paresh Baruah told News Live that no militants of the outfit were involved in the heinous incident.
“We have come to know that three armed youths identifying themselves as ULFA (I) militants gang-raped a minor girl in Charaideo district. But I want to clarify that no cadres of our outfit were involved in the heinous crime,” the ULFA chief told News Live over phone from an undisclosed location.
On the other hand, a fourth-grade employee of a higher secondary school was beaten up by people at Nagarbera on charges of molesting a Class VII student.
