GUWAHATI, May 7: The minor girl tortured by the physician couple has burn marks in her private parts indicating that she was not just made to sit in the scorching sun with her hands tied but was tortured in unimaginable terms.
“We have found burn marks in her private parts. It appears the marks were caused by a hot iron. We are investigating further and trying to get a confession from the doctor couple,” Nandini Kakaty, ADCP (Central), told News Live.
The horror unleashed by the couple, Dr Walliul Islam and his wife Dr Sangeeta Dutta, who are now under police custody after the torture they meted out on their adopted girl child came to light, has sent shockwaves among people.
“We are trying to get everything out from the accused couple,” the police officer said.
