GUWAHATI: The trailer of Pankaj Tripathi-Kriti Sanon driven new film ‘Mimi’ has crossed over 1.5 million video views on YouTube. The viewers have received the trailer well on this film based on surrogacy.
Pankaj Tripathi plays the role of a cab driver in Rajasthan and Mimi (Kriti) is a stage artist. An American white couple (tourists) is in search of a surrogate mother and Tripathi purses Mimi to be one. Finally, Mimi agrees to be the surrogate mother for a good amount.
The twists and turns can be felt in the trailer itself when Pankaj Tripathi and Sanon had to run and hide to deliver the baby as Mimi is not married. The story takes a new turn when the American couple backs out before the delivery of the child, thus leaving Mimi and Tripathi in the lurch.
At the end of the trailer, the scene looks like they have returned to their home town and decided to tell the truth to the family (Supriya Pathak, Manoj Pahwa). Well, for the rest of the story wait till 30th July when ‘Mimi’ is released on OTT platform Netflix.
