Meghalaya Class 12 results declared in Arts, Science, Commerce, and Vocational streams
Meghalaya Class 12 results out: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE) declared the Class XII results on Monday (May 5).
Results were declared in Arts, Science, Commerce, and Vocational streams.
While 29,278 students appeared in the examinations this year, 24,039 of them cleared the examination; the pass percentage being 82.09%.
While the pass percentage in Arts stream was 82.05%, 82.94% and 81.28% students cleared the Class 12 examination in the Science and Commerce streams respectively.
In the Vocational stream, 17 out of 20 students passed the examination achieving the highest stream-wise pass percentage of 85%.
In the Arts stream, Albert Mate and Idawanplishisha Swer, both from St. Edmund’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong, jointly secured the first position with 455 marks each. Nelly Mary Khymdeit from St. Paul’s Higher Secondary School, Nongpoh, bagged the second position, while Safilia Wahlang from St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong, secured the third position.
In the Science stream, Saptarshi Bhattacharjee from Laban Bengalee Boys’ Higher Secondary School, Shillong, topped with 483 marks. Drishana Roychoudhury and Shweta Sarma, both from St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong, bagged the second and third positions respectively.
In the Commerce stream, Disha Chokhani of St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong, topped scoring 481 marks. Nishan Talukdar and Dipankar Barua, both from Laban Bengalee Boys’ Higher Secondary School, Shillong, secured the second and third positions.
Meanwhile, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma congratulated the students who cleared the Class 12 examinations with flying colours.
“Congratulations to the meritorious students of the HSSLC examinations (Science, Arts, Commerce & Vocational Streams) of the State Board, MBOSE. Satisfied to see the pass percentage for Arts at 82.05%, Science at 82.94% and Commerce at 81.28 %, showing the hard work and dedication of our students, teachers and parents. My best wishes to the schools with remarkable pass percentage. To my dear students, may you shine a prosper and may this encourage you towards your goals! Keep it up!” CM Sangma wrote in a post on ‘X’.
