Mega tri-service exercise ‘Poorvi Prahar’ underway in Arunachal Pradesh

PUBLISHED:

GUWAHATI, Nov 15: The Indian Army’s high-intensity tri-service exercise, ‘Poorvi Prahar’, is underway in the forward areas of Arunachal Pradesh and aims at enhancing combat effectiveness and operational readiness across the Indian Army, Navy, and the Air Force.

The exercise began on November 10 and will end on November 18.

The exercise is also focussed on executing Integrated Joint Operations in the region’s challenging mountainous terrain and also strengthens inter-service coordination, believed to be a critical element for modern warfare.

The joint forces are deploying advanced fighter aircraft, reconnaissance platforms, and helicopters, including Chinooks and the Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Rudra, along with M777 Ultra-Light Howitzers recently inducted into the artillery units, reported bharatshakti.in.
