Massive traffic snarls, barricading at Delhi-Noida border as farmers march to Parliament

GUWAHATI, Dec 2: Noida Police has beefed up security and have set up barricades on the Delhi-Noida highway ahead of the farmers’ protest march heading towards Delhi.

Police issued a comprehensive traffic advisories in the wake of the ‘Delhi Chalo’ protest march by agitating farmers demanding a discussion on Minimum Support Price (MSP) besides demanding allocation of 10% developed plots for farmers displaced by land acquisition, implementation of new legal benefits, and the adoption of recommendations by a state committee for farmer welfare, reports said.

The protest march has been organized by the Bhartiya Kisan Parishad (BKP) along with other farmer groups.

Long queues of vehicles were seen at the Chilla Border in Noida as traffic diversions and restrictions were also put in place to ensure smooth flow of traffic in the wake of the protest march.
