Tokyo: Indian boxer Mary Kom lost (3-2) to Colombia’s Ingrit Lorena Valencia Victoria in the Round of 16 in the 51kg weight class at the Tokyo Olympics.
Colombia’s 32-year-old Ingrit Lorena Valencia Victoria, had won the bronze at the Rio Olympics 2016 in women’s flyweight.
This was Mary Kom’s fight for a second Olympic medal after her London Olympic 2012 bronze medal.
Earlier, Mary Kom had won 4-1 over Dominican Republic’s Miguelina Hernandez Garcia.
