Mary Kom and Onler’s love story started in Delhi in 2000 when he helped her after she lost her luggage on the way to a competition. He was a student at Delhi University’s Law Faculty, and she was a young boxer. They married in 2005 and went on to have three sons and adopted a daughter in 2018.
Onler even gave up his own football dreams to support Mary’s boxing career. Their bond was seen as full of love, sacrifice, and mutual respect.
But now, that love story might be falling apart.
Living Separately Since 2022
According to a report, the couple has been living apart since 2022. This happened after Onler’s failed attempt to win a seat in the Manipur Assembly elections. Mary is now said to be living in Faridabad with their four children, while Onler stays in Delhi with relatives.
Sources say that Mary was upset not just with the election loss but also with the financial losses that came with it — reportedly between ₹2 to ₹3 crore.
Onler Never Wanted Politics
It is also said that the decision to enter politics was Mary’s. Onler had warned her that politics in Manipur could be rough. But after he lost, their personal arguments turned serious. This may have led to Mary moving out with the kids.

A fellow boxer, speaking anonymously, claimed that Mary might be in a relationship with another boxer’s husband. Some of her recent Instagram posts have also added to the gossip, where she’s seen with this man, calling him a business associate.
Onler is Heartbroken
Friends close to Onler say he’s very emotional right now. He was a hands-on father who gave up his own career to look after the children and support Mary’s rise. But now, he reportedly doesn’t even get to meet his kids, which has deeply affected him.
“He sacrificed his dreams for her. Now he’s all alone,” said a source.

When reporters reached out to her, Mary Kom said she didn’t want to comment and requested her “right to privacy and dignity.”
“I choose not to comment on your message as per my right to privacy and dignity nor I am entitled to reply as asked by you,” Mary Kom’s message read.
Onler, too, hasn’t given any statement yet.
