GUWAHATI: A Maruti Omni vehicle(AS01DZ5980) collided with a truck(AS01Y5425) at the Noonmati area in Guwahati on Tuesday night.
The accident was so severe that the people traveling in the Maruti Omni were trapped inside the vehicle and later were rescued by a team of Guwahati Traffic Police and local residents.
The injured were then taken to the hospital for treatment.
“I was returning home from the office when I saw the vehicles. the Maruti van and truck had collided, I rushed to the spot, luckily no one died, two people who were inside the Maruti van were trapped in the vehicle for more than an hour. Later the local people and Police rescued the two injured and took them to the hospital,” said an eyewitness.
