Guwahati: Manoj Bajpayee starrer Amazon Prime original web series, ‘The Family Man’ which got released in 2019 became a super hit. Touted to be an action thriller, Manoj Bajpayee played the role of a National Investigation Agency (NIA) agent. Tollywood starlet Samantha Akkineni is going to play the role of an LTTE terrorist in this web series in the second season. The series will mark her debut in the Hindi space.
Directed by the director duo Raj and DK, Priyamani played the female lead in this web series. The first season ended with a cliffhanger ending and the audience has been eagerly waiting for the release of the second season.
As per the latest reports, the post-production works of season 2 is finally completed and the web series is all set to premiere on Amazon Prime on June 11th.
The dubbing work is also completed for Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and English versions and the web series will get a simultaneous release in all the above-mentioned languages.
The first season opened to a great reception from one and all. There are high expectations on the second season.
The Family Man 2, which was originally scheduled to release on February 12 earlier this year, was postponed after the controversy surrounding the web series ‘Tandav.’ Following the same, there have been a lot of speculations on the series’ release date. It was earlier speculated that the series will stream in May.
However, according to some media reports, it seems the makers and Amazon Prime officials have finally zeroed on a date for The Family Man 2, which is said to be June 11.
Meanwhile, Amazon Prime seems to be have also geared up for the release of other sequels.
