Manju Warrier’s Prathi Poovankozhi to be remade in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil

Guwahati: Manju Warrier was last seen in Malayalam film Prathi Poovankozhi, which hit the theatres in 2019. The latest development is that Prathi Poovankozhi will be remade in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. According to reports, the Hindi remake rights of Prathi Poovankozhi were snapped by Boney Kapoor, who will soon be remaking the film in Bollywood.

Similarly, the Tamil, Telugu and Kannada remake rights have also been sold to different production houses. Soon, an announcement regarding the remakes will be made by the respective teams.

Prathi Poovankozhi, directed by Rosshan Andrrews, released in theatres in 2019. Apart from directing the film, Rosshan also played the villain in the movie. It also marks his debut as an actor.

Manju Warrier, who was hailed for her performance, played the role of a saleswoman at a textile shop. Prathi Poovankozhi’s story revolves around Manju’s character Madhuri who is trying to take revenge at a ruffian who groped her in a bus.

Prathi Poovankozhi’s story was based on writer Unni R’s Sankadam. He had also worked on the screenplay of the film. The film received positive responses from critics and the audience. Prathi Poovankozhi showcases how a harasser operates in public.

On the work front, Manju Warrier is waiting for the release of Mohanlal’s Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham and Santosh Sivan’s Jack and Jill. Apart from these two films, she also has Kayattam, Chathur Mukham, the Preist, Lalitham Sundaram and Padavettu at different stages of production.
