GUWAHATI, Jan 23: Manipur Police continued its crackdown against drug trafficking and detained 15 people on Wednesday. The detainees are suspected to be involved in drug peddling and using contraband substances, Manipur Police stated in a statement on ‘X’.
Police launched the operation in North AOC area, while detaining the 15 persons, 8 of them being women.
No contraband substances were, however, recovered from their possession during the operation.
After a thorough verification, all detainees were sent to different rehabilitation centres for treatment.
