GUWAHATI, Jan 6: Manipur Police continued their crackdown on militant activities by arresting another cadre of the proscribed underground outfit Kangleipak Communist Party (People’s War Group) (KCP-PWG) on Sunday.
The arrested KCP-PWG cadre has been identified as Thounaojam Johnson Singh alias Nanao (42), a resident of Wabagai Leirak Achouba in Kakching district of the State.
Police said he was involved in carrying out extortion activities in Kakching areas.
Earlier on December 5, security forces had arrested three cadres of the outfit — identifed as Laishram Kenjit Singh (36), Md Abdul Matalif (37), and Laishram Langamba Meitei (28).
