GUWAHATI, Feb 6: Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Wednesday travelled to Prayagraj to attended the Maha Kumbh along with a few loyalist ministers and MLAs.
He along with his party colleagues took the holy bath at river Ganga today.
The Manipur Chief Minister had air-dashed to Delhi amid reports of a possible leadership change although he maintained that his visit was to attend the Maha Kumbh and take the holy bath in Prayagraj.
“Blessed to be in Prayagraj for the auspicious Maha Kumbh Mela, a divine gathering that comes once in 144 years.
Tomorrow, at the holy Triveni Sangam, along with my esteemed cabinet colleagues and Hon’ble MLAs, I will be taking the sacred dip and pray for peace, harmony, and prosperity for the people of Manipur and the entire nation. May this holy occasion bring blessings to all.
I urge everyone to join me in these prayers and seek the divine grace for a brighter, united future. Har Har Mahadev!” he wrote on ‘X’ yesterday after arriving at Prayagraj.
“Standing at the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mystical Saraswati at Triveni Sangam, one feels the embrace of divinity itself. As the cool waters touch the soul, they wash away not just the dust of the body but the burdens of countless lifetimes.
With folded hands and a heart full of devotion, I pray for the peace, prosperity, and well-being of our great nation and the beloved people of Manipur,” he wrote on his social media handles after taking the holy bath today.
