In another medical shocker, a person was allegedly infused with blood of another group at the premier Assam Medical College & Hospital that led to his death, family members claimed today. Siddheswar Moran of Kakopothar in Tinsukia district was admitted to AMCH after he suffered a fracture in his leg but died after he was transfused with B+ blood after a surgery although his blood group was O+, his family members told News Live.
Moran, who is around 70 years old, was operated upon following the fracture he suffered. However, his situation deteriorated after he was allegedly infused with blood of a different group.

Meanwhile, AMCH authorities have announced a probe into the incident and said action will be taken against anybody if found guilty during the probe.
