GUWAHATI, Jan 28: A man died after he was attacked by a rhinoceros on the National Highway 37 (old) at Hatikhuli Haladhibari in Kaziranga today.
The deceased has been identified as Bikram Lohar (56). He had come out to have a morning stroll along the national highway when the rhinoceros, which had strayed out of the park, hit him before entering the forest area.
Lohar, who was seriously injured after being attacked by the rhino, was rushed to the Swahid Swahid Kamala Miri Civil Hospital in Bokakhar where he was breathed his last.
Today’s incident comes barely a month after a farmer named Omram Gonok (30) died after he too was attacked by a rhinoceros at No 2 Kohora Mohpara village in Kaziranga.
