GUWAHATI: Dhubri Police in western Assam arrested a man with two handmade bombs from his possession on Thursday. The accused has been identified as 42-year-old Sameer Sheikh.
Police recovered the bombs from Sameer’s residence at Bidyapara in the Dhubri town.
According to the accused, he had made the bombs for self-defense.
“Today Evening we ARRESTED one Sameer Sheikh, 42 of Bidyapara, Dhubri and recovered 2 Hand Made Bombs from his house which he interestingly claims to have made for self-defense. Investigation is on!” Dhubri Police tweeted.
