GUWAHATI: The war on drugs continues in the city as the Guwahati Police seized a huge quantity of drugs from the Lachit Nagar and Birubari area on Saturday.
Arun Sarma, Ribul Sarma and Sanchal Nath have been arrested and drugs worth Rs. 1.5 crore have been seized from their possession.
” The operation is going on and last night from Lachit Nagar and Birubari area and we have seized 600 grams of drugs. The market value of the seized contraband is around Rs 1.5 crore,” said the investigating officer.
On Saturday(July 3), Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Tweeted, “#DrugFreeAssam I am happy that @assampolice continue to pursue our mission of eliminating drugs cartel.
