Madrid back to winning ways

Embattled Spanish giants Real Madrid are back to winning ways under new boss Santiago Solari after they defeated Valencia 2-0 in the La Liga on Saturday to move to fifth place in the La Liga standings. The much-needed win over Valencia gave the side some more confidence, particularly after their victory over Italian side Roma in midweek.

Real took the lead following an own-goal from Valencia’s Daniel Wass before Lucas Vazquez chipped with a late strike to wrap up their sixth win in seven games under the new coach.

โ€œWe did not play well against Eibar but we were good in Rome, and we were really good today,โ€ AFP quoted Solari as saying.

Incidentally, Solariโ€™s first game in charge as Real boss ended in a bitter defeat at the hands of Eibar as Madrid were thrashed 3-0 compunding woes for the Spanish giants.
