New Delhi: According to Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories the ‘Made in India’ Sputnik V COVID-19 doses are likely to be available from September-October. These locally manufactured Sputnik V doses will be commercially available in India. An agreement has been signed between Dr. Reddy’s and Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) for the distribution of the Sputnik V vaccine in India.
Dr. Reddy’s is closely working with its partners in India to ramp up supplies and manufacturing.
According to a press release Dr. Reddy’s has partnered with major hospitals around the country and has set up cold chain infrastructure in more than 300 locations for the stocking of vaccine at -18 degrees Celsius.
The pilot for Sputnik V vaccination in India started on May 2021 and covers around 80 cities.
