GUWAHATI, Jan 10: The death toll in the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles has rise to 10, media reports stated, as the devastating blazes gutted more than 10,000 houses, businesses, and cars.
Seven fatalities have been reported in the Palisades and Eaton fires in California — five dying in the Eaton fire while two perished in the blaze in Palisades.
The wildfires in Palisades and Eaton have been the worst and both, reports also stated, are now among the most destructive in California’s history.
The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), meanwhile, declared closure of schools and offices today due to the wildfires.
Las Vegas officials, on the other hand, have asked people to limit car usage due to disruptions in fuel supply from a pipeline linking Los Angeles to the city.
