Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Kamakhya Prasad Tasa has won from Assam’s Kaziranga seat.
Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, who was up against Congress’ Roselina Tirkey, has won by a margin of 2,48,947 votes.
According to Election Commission of India (ECI) website, Kamakhya Prasad Tasa received a total of 8,97,043 votes. While Congress’ Roselina Tirkey secured 6,48,096 votes.
Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, a Rajya Sabha MP, is the BJP’s national secretary and had represented the Jorhat Lok Sabha constituency from 2014 to 2019.
