‘Leteku’ exported to Dubai from Assam

GUWAHATI: Popular Assamese fruit ‘Leteku’ also known as Burmese Grapes has found buyers in Dubai. The fruit was recently exported to Dubai from Guwahati. The produce was sourced and packed from a collection centre in Darrang district in Assam.

The consignment of Leteku was exported by Kiega EXIM Pvt Ltd from Guwahati to Dubai via Delhi in coordination with Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA).

Recently, APEDA facilitated exports of the first consignment of ‘red rice’ (Bao -dhaan) to the USA from Assam.

Apart from this, APEDA has been assisting in exporting GI-certified Assam Lemon (Kaji Nemu) to London.

APEDA has been providing all help to boost the export potential of agricultural and processed food products from the north-eastern states.
