GUWAHATI: A leopard was caged at Burha Likochon Tea Estate in Golaghat district on Friday night. Raju Baruah, the owner of the tea garden heard the groans of a leopard in the evening. Following that Baruah kept a cage and managed to capture the leopard.
Later Raju Baruah informed the forest department and handed over the leopard.
The leopard will be released to Nambor Wildlife Sanctuary today. While the residents of the tea garden heaved a sigh of relief, they also appreciated the courage of the owner Raju Baruah for capturing the leopard.
