GUWAHATI, Nov 22: A lawyer from Chhattisgarh capital Raipur who was arrested for allegedly sending death threats to Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was closely monitoring the actor and his son Aryan Khan’s movements, reports quoting Mumbai Police said.
Police said they have found evidence of accused Faizan Khan conducting ‘thorough online searches’ related to the family’s security and whereabouts, a report published by The Times of India stated.
Mumbai’s Bandra Police station had on November 7 received a call, reportedly from Faizan, threatening to kill Shah Rukh Khan while also demanding Rs 50 lakh.
Reports also added that Faizan had attempted to collect sensitive information about the security arrangements in place for King Khan and his family.
The arrested lawyer has, however, denied sending any threat to the actor and claimed that his phone was stolen and that he was being framed for the threat.
