GUWAHATI: Bharatiya Janata Party Member of Parliament from Lakhimpur, Pradan Baruah who was in Delhi to attend the Monsoon session of Parliament tested positive for COVID-19.
The tests were conducted for the admission to the Monsoon session of Parliament that began on Monday.
Earlier, 24 more members of the Parliament tested positive for the coronavirus disease. Junior railways minister Suresh Angadi, Meenakshi Lekhi, Anant Kumar Hegde, Parvesh Sahib Singh, Rita Bahuguna Joshi, and Kaushal Kishore were among the 24 MPs who have contracted the viral disease.
