In yet another shocking incident a lady in labour pain gave birth to a baby on the road in a forest area during rains in 21st century Assam. The incident took place at Luitkhabolu village in Lakhimpur. This is the second such incident in MLA Utpal Dutta’s constituency.

The woman after returning back from a hospital in Majuli gave birth to a baby boy on the roads during heavy rain. Due to dilapidated condition of roads in MLA Utpal Dutta’s constituency, no ambulance could make it to the village.

Prior to this, another pregnant lady was brought to a hospital in Majuli in hand-cart as ambulance could make it to that village also.
