GUWAHATI, Jan 17: Swimmer Shivangi Sharma added another individual gold to her kitty as the swimmers and lifters brought cheers to the Assam contingent by winning six medals for the host state on the eighth day of the 3rd Khelo India Youth Games.
Shivangi, who had earlier in the morning won her first gold in the Girls’ (U-21) 200 metres freestyle event, stood on top of the podium after pipping the other swimmers in the Girls (U-21) 800 metres freestyle event.
Shivangi’s gold is the eighth for the host State.
Meanwhile, Anubhuti Baruah and Rajashree Buragohain won bronze medals in the Girls’ (U-21) 50 metres butterfly and in Girls’ (U-21) 100 metres breaststroke events respectively.
