GUWAHATI: In the run-up to 71st Republic Day celebrations, the Assam Khadi and Village Industries Board has set a target of Rs. 12 lakh from the sale of national flags.
The weavers of the board have been preparing Tricolours since January 2 at its office in Chandmari area of Guwahati.
According to an official of the Assam Khadi and Village Industries Board, flags of various sizes with prices ranging from Rs. 70 to Rs. 600 have been made available to add patriotic fervour to Republic Day celebrations.
He also stated that the Tricolours would be available in 45 outlets of the board across Assam.
