Kaziranga’s beauty enthralls External Affairs Minister Jaishankar, Heads of Missions of over 50 nations

GUWAHATI, Feb 24: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar along with Heads of Missions of over 50 countries were captivated by the beauty and grandeur of the Kaziranga National Park after they took a safari of the internationally-famous sanctuary on elephant back and in jeeps today (Feb 24) morning.

The External Affairs Minister, accompanied by the foreign Heads of Missions who are on their way to Guwahati for the two-day Advantage Assam 2.0 Infrastructure & Investment Summit, had landed at the Jorhat airport last evening from where they were taken to Kaziranga.

After spending the night at Kaziranga, they enjoyed the beauty of the majestic park.

“I saw a lot of animals, from rhinoceros to elephants, deer and many other animals,” External Affairs Minister Jaishankar told News Live after taking a safari of the Kaziranga National Park.

“An early morning safari @kaziranga_ National Park, along with Ambassadors. Assam’s natural wildlife scenes are indeed stunning and pristine. Next stop- Advantage Assam 2.0,” EAM Jaishankar wrote on ‘X’.

The Union Minister and the Heads of Missions were accompanied by Assam Agriculture Minister and Bokakhat MLA Atul Bora, Kaziranga Lok Sabha MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, MLA Biswajit Phukan and other State Government officials.

After visiting Kaziranga, Union Minister Jaishankar and the Heads of Missions will arrive in Guwahati for the Jhumoir Binandini event which will take place today evening and the two-day Advantage Assam 2.0 summit.
