GUWAHATI: Kamrup (Metropolitan) district has recorded the highest number of COVID-19 positive cases in Assam. The district has registered a total of 191 cases so far. It is followed by Golaghat with 167 and Hojai with 118 cases. The total number of Assam’s COVID-19 cases stands at 1057.
With only one case river district Majuli is at the bottom of the list. The numbers of cases in other districts are—Nagaon (51), Cachar (56), Kamrup (61), Nalbari (25), Morigaon (31), Sonitpur (14), Karimganj (42), Jorhat (14), Dhubri (28), Hailakandi (20), Tinsukia (29), Goalpara (27), Dima Hasao (8), West Karbi Anglong (12), Chirang (6), Biswanath (16), Bongaigaon (5), East Karbi Anglong (5), Sivasagar (9), Kokrajhar (6), Lakhimpur (30), Dhemaji (12), Baksa (3), Charaideo (11), Udalguri (12), Dibrugarh (6), Darrang (10), Barpeta (16) and South Salmara Mankachar (4).
