Guwahati: Kamrup (Metro) deputy commissioner (DC) Biswajit Pegu has tested COVID-19 positive.
Pegu who was at the frontline in the fight against the pandemic was detected with the infection on Monday.
Earlier several top bureaucrats of the state also tested COVID-19 positive.
