JP Nadda Challenges Rahul Gandhi to speak ten lines on ‘CAA’

GUWAHATI: Launching a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Bharatiya Janata Party working president JP Nadda today said, “I challenge Rahul Gandhi from this open stage to speak ten lines on the Citizenship Amendment Act and to speak two lines to justify his reasons why he is opposing CAA.”

In his speech at the Booth Sammelan held today in Guwahati, Nadda said that Congress was not driven by patriotism, but by politics.

“They don’t see the country, but see the vote bank,” the BJP working president alleged.

“If CAA is being implemented, then clause 6 of the Assam Accord which was signed in 1985 is going to be implemented with letter and spirit,” Nadda further added.

Addressing the BJP booth presidents, former booth presidents and elected representatives of the party, the BJP leader said, “It is our responsibility to protect the culture of Assam and we will do it.”

The BJP working president also said that though former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi signed the Assam Accord in 1985, Congress did nothing to implement the accord till the BJP came into power both at the centre and in the state.

On the other hand, Nadda said, “Only BJP is party of ideology, all others are dynastic.”

In his speech, BJP working president highlighted the plight of Hindu minorities in Islamic countries-Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.

He also underlined developmental works taken by the BJP-led central and state governments for the people of Assam.
