Guwahati: In a move to bolster the fight against COVID-19 pandemic, Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday inaugurated a testing laboratory at CSIR-North East Institute of Science and Technology (CSIR-NEIST) at Jorhat.
Dr. Sarma inaugurated the testing laboratory in presence of ministers Pijush Hazarika, Atul Bora, Rajya Sabha MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, Lok Sabha MP Topon Kumar Gogoi and CSIR-NEIST director Dr. G Narahari Sastry.
Inaugurating the testing facility, minister Sarma expressed hope that it will strengthen the State Government’s resolve in the fight against COVID-19.
