Jan 5 India-SL Guwahati T20I: Sale of tickets begins online

GUWAHATI, Dec 25: There’s some very good news for cricket lovers of Assam. Tickets for the T20 international between India and Sri Lanka to be played at Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati on Jan 5 have been made available online from today.

Fans can book tickets for the match through the website www.bookmyshow.com. Tickets will not be sold offline, the Assam Cricket Association (ACA) stated.

Bookings began from 8 am today and will continue for an unspecified period till all available tickets are sold off.

Ticket prices range from a minimum of Rs 1,500 to a maximum of Rs 55,000. Students can get match tickets for a discounted price of Rs 300.

Meanwhile, the ACA has released a rate card for tickets that will be available in various stands of the 40,000-capacity stadium.

The prices of tickets, as mentioned by the ACA, are:

  1. West Stand 2nd Floor (For Students only) : Rs 300
  2. West Stand 1st Floor                                        : Rs 2200
  3. West Stand Ground Floor                              : Rs 2750
  4. East Stand 2nd Floor                                        : Rs 1500
  5. East Stand 1st Floor                                         : Rs 2200
  6. East Stand Ground Floor                               : Rs 2750
  7. North Stand Top Floor                                   : Rs 2200
  8. North Stand 2nd Floor                                    : Rs 4400
  9. North Stand Ground Floor                            : Rs 3850
  10. South Stand Top Floor                                    : Rs 2200
  11. South Stand 2nd Floor                                     : Rs 4400
  12. South Stand 1st Floor                                      : Rs 5500
  13. South Stand Ground Floor                            : Rs 3850

The ACA further stated that hard copies of the tickets sold through bookmyshow.com can be collected either through courier or from Nehru Stadium, Guwahati, from Jan 1 (10 am to 6 pm).

Incidentally, India will kick-off their campaign for the 2020 season through this high-voltage tie.
