IPL: Sam Curran does Bhangra with Preity Zinta

PUBLISHED:

England and Kings XI Punjab left-arm seamer Sam Curran, who played a crucial role in defeating Delhi Capitals by 14 runs at Mohali yesterday (April 1) besides becoming the first player to take a hat-trick in the current IPL season, matched a few bhangra steps with his franchise co-owner Preity Zinta.

Curran scalped four wickets in 2.2 overs giving away just 11 runs and the icing of the cace were the dismissal of Harshal Patel, Kagiso Rabada and Sandeep Lamichhane.

He was named Man of the Match.

Delhi were cruising and it appeared as if Rishabh Pant and Colin Ingram would be able to take the side to an easy victory. However, once Pant fell to a rather rash shot, the Capitals collapsed from 144/3 to 152 all out chasing 167 runs for victory.

The victory puts Kings XI Punjab in the second spot in the standings with six points from four matches. Chennai Super Kings, who have won all their three ties, are on top.
