IPL 2025: KKR, Rajasthan Royals in Guwahati for March 26 showdown

Both KKR and Rajasthan Royals will both aim to register their first victory of IPL 2025 on Wednesday (March 26)

GUWAHATI, March 26: Both the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rajasthan Royals have arrived in Guwahati ahead of their March 26 IPL ties as the stage is all set for the two teams to lock horns against each other at the ACA Stadium in Barsapara, Guwahati, on Wednesday.

While the Kolkata Knight Riders squad arrived in Guwahati yesterday, the Rajasthan Royals team led by local boy Riyan Parag today flew in to the city from Hyderabad where they had lost their inaugural match of the 2025 season against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Sunday (March 23).

The Rajasthan Royals squad arrived in Guwahati today (March 24) for their March 26 IPL 2025 match against KKR.

Meanwhile, the Kolkata outfit took part in a practice session at Barsapara Stadium this evening.

KKR, the defending champions, had also lost their opening match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Eden Gardens on Saturday.

The Assam Cricket Association (ACA), meanwhile, said it is ready to host the IPL matches and hoped fans will witness some quality cricket.

ACA Vice President Rajdeep Oja, Former ACA Vice President Porikshit Dutta, and DCP (Traffic) Jayanta Sarathi Borah addressed the press today regarding the security and traffic arrangements for the upcoming IPL matches scheduled at ACA Stadium, Guwahati, on March 26 and 30.

The meeting, the ACA stated, focused on smooth operations, implementing robust security measures, and ensuring efficient traffic flow to facilitate a hassle-free experience for players, officials, and spectators.
