India’s richest woman and a former Haryana minister Savitri Jindal joined the the Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday. She had quit from the Congress on Wednesday night.
The 84-year-old’s move came days after her son and industrialist Naveen Jindal left the grand old party to join the saffron outfit.
She joined the ruling BJP at an event in Haryana’s Hisar.
The Lok Sabha elections will be held across seven phases stretching over six weeks between April 19 and June 1. The results will be announced on June 4.
