India vs New Zealand, World Cup 2023 Semi-Final: Rohit Sharma wins the toss, Ind will bat first

PUBLISHED:

India have won the toss and they have opted to bat first against New Zealand in the first semifinal of the 2023 ODI World Cup at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. It is a replay of the first semifinal from the 2019 edition of the tournament where the Kane Williamson-led side had orchestrated a heartbreak for India in a game that stretched across two days.

Having finished at the top of the table, India won all nine of their league stage games including the meeting against New Zealand. The Kiwis on the other hand went on to lose four games in a row after having started the tournament on a winning note but ended the league stage with a big win against Sri Lanka to seal a final four spot.
