Guwahati: India recorded 54, 336 new coronavirus cases and 1,321 deaths in the last 24 hours. With this, the country’s total caseload has risen to over 3 crores, while the death toll has surged to 3.91 lakh. Meanwhile, the active caseload has dropped to 6.27 lakh.
Daily recoveries continue to outnumber the daily new cases for the 42nd consecutive day.
The recovery rate has increased to 96.61%. The weekly positivity rate remains below 5%, currently at 3.04% and daily positivity rate at 2.91% stated the Union Ministry.
Meanwhile, the ongoing vaccination drive has picked up the pace.
