India maul WI in 5th ODI, win series 3-1

India won the five-match one-day series against West Indies 3-1 after annihilating the visitors by 9 wickets in the fifth and final ODI at the newly-constructed Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.

After bundling out West Indies for a paltry 104 runs in just 31.5 overs, the Men in Blue reached the target in 14.5 overs losing only one wicket. Rohit Sharma made a breezy 56-ball 63 while skipper Virat Kohli made 33 not out after a classy bowling display by the Indians in the field saw the visitors lose all ten wickets for 104 runs, their lowest total against India in one-dayers.

Ravindra Jadeja scalped four wickets while Jasprit Bumrah and Khaleel Ahmed picked up two wickets each. Bhuveneswar Kumar and Kuldeep Yadav took one wicket apiece.

While Jadeja was named Man of the Match, skipper Virat Kohli walked away with the Man of the Series award for his scintillating batting display throught the series that saw three back-to-back hundreds in the first three matches of the ODI series.
