In US for second leg of 2-nation visit, PM Modi meets US National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard, to meet President Trump later today

GUWAHATI, Feb 13: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived in US capital Washington DC for the second leg of his two-nation visit, met the US Director Of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and congratulated her on her appointment to the coveted and highly significant post.

He also discussed various aspects relating to India-USA friendship with her.

Earlier on Thursday morning (IST), Prime Minister Modi landed at the Joint Base Andrews in Washington DC for his first trip to the US after Donald Trump assumed office as US President for his second term.

Prime Minister Modi will hold a bilateral meeting with President Trump and speak on a wide range of issues with the American President.

President Trump and Prime Minister Modi will also hold a press conference after their meeting.

He is also expected to meet members of the Indian community.

Prime Minister Modi, upon his arrival in Washington DC, was given a warm reception by the Indian community who braved the winter chill to catch a glimpse of the Indian Prime Minister.
