GUWAHATI: Assam Police on Wednesday morning recovered illegal arms and ammunition from Chirang district under Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). The police team recovered A.K.Series Rifle with two magazines and 26 rounds of live ammunition of 7.62 mm from north of Kumarsali village under Bijni Police Station.

Assam Police has been carrying out continuous operations in the BTR to clean up unlawful weapons and illegal activities in the area.
