GUWAHATI: Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has accredited Diphu Medical College and Hospital in Assam as a testing laboratory for COVID-19, tweeted Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday.
With the approval of the ICMR to Diphu Medical College, all of the seven medical colleges in Assam have become equipped with capabilities and regulatory approvals for COVID-19 testing.
“This significantly strengthens our testing capacities,” Himanta Biswa Sarma stated in his tweet.
